Can’t Miss: Delish Raleigh Spots with Magnolia Megan

Huge thanks to local food influencer Magnolia Megan Pintell (@magnoliamegan_ on IG) for providing us with a monthly run-down of must-try spots in the Triangle! –PA

Hey everyone! I’m Megan, aka Magnolia Megan, and I am on a journey to share with you new places and my favorite spots around the Raleigh area to visit each month! I want to help you discover new local spots to try each month and inspire you to explore more of the Triangle area!

Here are a few of my top places I visited during the month of May.

A’Verde Cocina + Tequila Bar – Cary, NC

This Mexican restaurant by Top Chef Katsuji Tanabe is now serving brunch in Cary, NC!

They have some delicious options like Churro French Toast and Chorizo Benedict, and their must try Freshly-Baked Grandma’s Cornbread made from a 1950’s Mexico City recipe!

Along with their brunch menu, they have unique cocktails like the Regina George with Rhubarb infused vodka, house-made cotton candy, rose petals, and #TakeMeBack cocktail with

Passion Fruit-Infused Espolon Reposado, Blood Orange-Rosemary Shrub, Gran Gala, House Sour, Red Wine Float. If you love mimosas, they have a mimosa that is all champagne with a mini spray bottle of OJ so you can spritz a little orange juice with your champagne! And, if you’re up for the challenge, try their Ring the Bell Shot which is a shot glass made of ice with their house-made margarita. After you take the shot, try to throw your glass at the bell to ring it!

Clean Juice – North Hills, Raleigh, NC

If you love healthy snacks, smoothies, and fresh juice, you need to visit Clean Juice! Clean Juice just opened up a new location in North Hills.

What I love about Clean Juice is that they are organic! Their refresher drinks like this Cucumber Pineapple and Dragon Fruit Lemonade pictured were really good. I also love their Red juice that has organic apple, carrot, beet, and lemon!

Two Roosters Ice Cream – Raleigh, NC

Looking for the perfect summer dessert? Two Roosters has ice cream flights just in time for the summer!

(PA: I wanted to add that Two Roosters is currently featuring a line of ice cream flavors created by local visual artists. Check out those offerings here!)

Two Roosters has so many good flavors to choose from and they rotate some of the flavors every week so you can try new ones! My favorite flavor was their Blackberry Hibiscus, it was so creamy!

Mezcalito – Clayton, NC

I visited Mezcalito for the first time and I was blown away by how big their margaritas are! If you love crazy drinks that are also delicious, you will love visiting Mezcalito.

Their drinks are big enough to share but so good that you probably won’t want to! I loved their Mangonada Margarita that came with chamoy and tajin, and a mango on top!

The food here at Mezcalito was also delicious. It’s a perfect place to sit out on the patio and enjoy some Birria or Fajitas, margs, and more. They will also be opening up a new location in Durham soon and one in Apex later this year so be on the lookout for those opening dates!

Feng Cha – Morrisville, NC

One of my favorite drinks to get is boba! I love a good brown sugar boba, or my favorite recently has been taro milk tea with boba and pudding. Now, Feng Cha is open in Morrisville, NC and it’s a new must-try boba spot!

I used to get Feng Cha in Houston all the time, and I was SO excited when I found out they were opening in the Raleigh area! Their most popular drink is their Creme Brûlée Dirty Boba which is so yummy. They also have tons of other drinks to order that are delicious and the decor is super cute!

I hope you are inspired to check out these places around the Raleigh area and try something new! Stay tuned for next month with a new recap of my top favorites for the month!

Sincerely,
Magnolia Megan
