Howdy, Triangle partners! Who else is looking forward to a three-day weekend? We have some great ways to take advantage of the Memorial Day long weekend below, but first I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to a dog in need.
The Animal Protection Society of Durham is hosting their 22nd annual Walk for the Animals on Saturday (details below). The picture above is of one dog in their care, a sweet, energetic dog named Lady Shortcake who is looking for her forever home. She’s just one of many dogs like her that could use your help. Her bio reads:
“Hello there! I’m a sweet, active girl looking for a new best friend! I love people, especially when they give me lots of treats and cuddles. My perfect day involves me at your side throughout lots of adventures—I need some help getting used to walking on a leash, though! Come see me today to find out if we’re a match!
NOTE: Lady Shortcake is so eager to find her new home that she’s asked us to waive her adoption fee! Come on out and meet her to see if she’s the right fit for your family!”
Even if you (like me) don’t have room in your home for a new furry friend, please consider joining the APS on Saturday and/or donating directly to the APS.
